≡ Celsia disjecta Murbeck (1925: 113) View in CoL .
Type:— Iran. Prope Shurab inter Esfahan et Tehran, H. C. Haussknecht s.n. (lectotype G-BOIS: G 00330445!, designated here).
Residual syntypes: IRAN. Prov. Qom: Hauz-i Sultan, May 1859, A. A. von Bunge s.n. (G-BOIS: G 00330447!, LE). Prope Shurab inter Esfahan et Tehran, May 1859, A. A. von Bunge s.n. (G-BOIS: G 00330446!, LE).
Note: Three syntypes (“prope Shurab inter Esfahan et Tehran, Haussknecht s.n. ”, “ Qom, Hauz-i Sultan, May 1859, Bunge s.n. ” and “prope Shurab inter Esfahan et Tehran, May 1859, Bunge s.n. ”) were cited by Murbeck (1925) in the protologue of Celsia disjecta ( Verbascum disjectum ). The sheet “prope Shurab inter Esfahan et Tehran, Haussknecht s.n ” preserved at G is selected as the lectotype here because it contains leaves and flowers that are better developed than the other sheets, and the characters of the specimen agree closely with the protologue.
Distribution:— Endemic to Iran.
