Blanus cinereus , lectotype

Assigned to the only specimen of the serie of syntypes of Blanus cinereus sent by Profesor Bocage from National Museum of Natural History , Bocage Museum in Lisbon, Portugal, to the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Voucher number ANSP 9672 About ANSP , and identified by C. Gans in 1967 ( Gans, 2005) as syntype. Terra typical: Lusitanica = Portugal. Total length 194 mm (including tail lenght), 6 precloacal pores, total body annuli 138, 16 dorsal body segments and 16 ventral body segments, head length 8.45mm. No all measurements has been taken due to the distortion of the head, specifically the prefrontal length, the prefrontal width and the head width.
