Omalaspis convexus Kierych, 1985: 103 .

The location of the type material is (a male from Poland) presently unknown. The Kierych collection is not deposited in MZPW: Kierych collection is likely kept by the Kierych family, but we were not able to contact them (Mrs. Dominika Mierzwa pers. com., responsible of the collection in MZPW) .

The original description is very short, and most of the characters described in it are generic, not suitable to differentiate O. convexa from other Omalaspis species. According to the description, this species could be similar to O. asiatica and O. gibsoni , for example. For this reason this species should be considered as ‘ species inquirenda ’.

Kierych misspelled the termination of specific name. We correct it here.
