Type locality. Unknown (Von Hayek (1973: 77) designated a Lectotype [ Herbst, 1779: pl. 7, fig. I depicting Elater punctatus Herbst, 1779: 316 ])
Material examined. Pakistan; Baluchistan Province, Hub Chocki, 2 females; 15. vii. 2005, leg. Akhter, (ACP); Czech Republic; 8 km E of Savsat, 1 female; 4. vi. 2000, leg. Mertlik ( CMHK). New record for Pakistan. Distribution. Cyprus, Europe, Jordan, Morocco, Pakistan, Syria and Turkey ( Cate, 2007).
