Antenna with scape white, pecten yellowish fuscous; flagellum black dorsally, yellowish white ventrally, dotted with yellow on each flagellomere dorsally. Foreleg with femur blackish gray on inner surface, tibia black on inner surface, dotted laterally with black near base, at middle, and distally, first, fourth and fifth tarsomeres blackish gray on inner surface, second and third tarsomeres blackish gray distally on inner surface, remainder yellowish white; midleg mostly yellowish white, femur with distal part black dorsally, tibia dotted dorsally with black at base, at middle, and distally, first tarsomere dotted dorsally with black at middle and at distally, other tarsomeres black at distal dorsally; hindleg mostly grayish white, tibia and tarsus blackish gray laterally, each tarsomere black distally. Thorax white; tegula golden fuscous. Forewing ratio 4.0; rust fuscous, with dense blackish-fuscous transverse striae; costa with two white spots near apex; golden fuscous streak below basal 2/5 of fold, with a small blackish-fuscous dot at its end; fold with a blackish-fuscous spot at distal 1/4, slightly V-shaped, its lower margin sometimes extending to dorsum as a few concolorous scales; several scattered white scales near distal end of cell; dorsal band white, extending to termen before apex, with scattered dark fuscous scales; blackish-fuscous spot near tornus; cilia golden fuscous on costa and around apex except dark fuscous at base, gray on termen and mixed with white basally. Hindwing and cilia uniformly gray. Abdomen silvery gray dorsally, yellow ventrally.
Male genitalia ( Figs. 132 View FIGURES 132 – 137 , 188 View FIGURES 185 – 189 , 244 View FIGURES 233 – 244 ): Tuba analis longer than width of valva. Socius with a hooked process near base on posterior margin, bearing two long setae laterally on base; distal part covered with 11̄12 scale-like setae ( Fig. 244 View FIGURES 233 – 244 ). Gnathos inflated distally, with seven long thick setae apically. Valva oval, with a clump of long setae in disc, similar setae in distal area. Saccus 1.6 times as long as width of valva, with distal 2/3 linear. Phallus about 8.0 times as long as width of valva, straight ( Fig. 188 View FIGURES 185 – 189 ). Second sternite with about eight micro-setae in each row; eighth sternite V-shaped. Coremata present.
Female genitalia ( Fig. 290 View FIGURES 290 – 292 ): Ovipositor 2.3 times as long as eighth segment. Anterior apophysis 7/10 length of posterior apophysis, bifurcate at middle, with branches fused, forming ventral margin of ostium bursae. Lamella postvaginalis nearly rectangular. Antrum funnel-shaped, 2/5 length of eighth segment; ductus seminalis originating from posterior 1/3 of ductus bursae. Corpus bursae nearly round, densely denticulated posteriorly; signum with basal plate band-shaped, uniform in width, horns somewhat axe-shaped overall.

Diagnosis. This species is similar to A. (A.). angusta Moriuti, 1969 , but it can be distinguished by the forewing ratio of 4.0, and in the male genitalia by the socius covered with 11̄12 scale-like setae, the straight phallus, and the saccus 1.6 times as long as the width of the valva. In A. (A.) angusta the forewing ratio is 5.0, and the socius is covered with 6̄8 scale-like setae, the phallus is curved medially, and the saccus is as long as the width of the valva in the male genitalia.
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin latus, meaning wide, referring to the forewing being wider than that of its closest congener, A. (A.). angusta .
