Dendrolycosa gracilis Thorell 1891: 63 (description of subadult female; 1 subadult female syntype and 1 juvenile syntype, Nicobar Islands, Kamorta Island, Galathea-Expedition, ZMUC 0 0 0 13083, examined).

From both syntypes and their body shape is clear that the species belongs to the genus Hygropoda View in CoL . It is transferred here formally, although no statements on its identity within this genus can be made, since both type specimens available are immature. Thorell (1891) mentions an adult female specimen, which could not be located. In the course of checking original descriptions, the incorrect placement of two additional species was recognised. Although those taxa were not the direct focus of this work, the transfers are provided below.
