Calicogorgia tenuis Thomson & Simpson, 1909: 197–198 View in CoL , pl. 3, fig. 10 (Andamans).

Opinion: This species does occur in the region but its true identity is unknown.

Justification:

Literature analysis: This species was erected for a colony from the Andamans but it is essentially unrecognisable as no sclerites were figured and it has never been redescribed.
