Note: — Craib (1911) originally described F. kerrii based on the type specimen, A.F.G. Kerr 976 (holotype BM-000958668, isotypes K-000900611, E-00157795) that was collected from Nakhon Si Thammarat province, Thailand ( Figure 3 ). Sixteen years later, on the basis of the specimen A.F.G. Kerr 10303 collected from Rachaburi province, Thailand, Craib (1927) described additionally an other new species of Flemingia for the flora of Thailand, namely F. wangkae ( Figure 4 ). The author also mentioned that this species is most similar to F. kerrii , but it is different from the latter by having a slightly longer petiole and a longer flower. These morphological characters, however, are frequently variable during the growth and the flower lifespan of Flemingia species in general. Our recently careful examination of the protologue, type specimens and new collections showed that the morphological characters of F. wangkae are mostly identical or overlapping to those found in F. kerrii , a previously described species to Thailand ( Table 1). Therefore, the former was not enough to be distinct from the latter and considered herein as a new synonym of the former.
