Lectotype (designated here):— ECUADOR. Páramo de Huaira-Caja , Azogues, 2800−3300 m, May/ June 1906, Lehmann 6600 (K000529605!; isolectotype K000529604!).
Protologue:—“Columbia vel Ecuador: loco accuratius non indicato (n. 6600)”.
= Azorella biloba (Schlechtendal) Weddell (1860: 195) View in CoL ≡ Fragosa biloba Schlechtendal (1856 View in CoL [1857]: 478).
Notes:—We did not find original material neither at B nor at CORD, herbaria with important collections used by Hieronymus. However, we located two specimens at K that do not show any annotations by the author, but they constitute original as they coincide with the protologue in the morphological description, collector and number and other label indications. We designate K000529605 as lectotype of Azorella lehmannii View in CoL ; the specimen has more material.
