Genus Brunetorhynchus View in CoL n. gen.
Diagnosis. Typhlopolycystidinae with a proboscis 1/6th –1/4th of the body length. A single testis next to or just behind the pharynx. A single tubiform stylet (accessory stylet type II), with spiral ornaments. Accessory glandular reservoir (type II) opening in the stylet next to the seminal duct. The prostate glands (of type III) situated within the male atrium or absent. Unpaired ovary and paired vitellaria. Oviduct with resorbing bursa and a pear-shaped seminal receptacle.
Type species. Brunetorhynchus deconincki n. sp.
Etymology. Genus name in honour of Dr. M. Brunet (Marseille, France).
