Diagnosis. Head triangular in anterior view ( Figs 14F View FIGURE 14 , 16G View FIGURE 16 ), trapezoid in dorsal view ( Figs 14G View FIGURE 14 , 16H View FIGURE 16 ); temple distinctly swollen, with 3 strong ridge-like transverse carinae; face evenly convex, distinctly transversely rugose, with a longitudinal carina dorso-medially, mandibles robust, not twisted apically, upper tooth longer than lower tooth; ( Figs 14F View FIGURE 14 , 16G View FIGURE 16 ); occipital carina thin, arched dorso-medially, ventrally connected to hypostomal carina above base of mandible ( Figs 14G View FIGURE 14 , 16H View FIGURE 16 ); mesoscutum evenly convex, transverse suture distinct; notauli superficially impressed; propodeum short, near posterior margin of propodeum ( Figs 14C View FIGURE 14 , 16C View FIGURE 16 ); metapleuron coarsely rugose, without metapleural flange; apical transverse carina of ( Figs 14B View FIGURE 14 , 16B View FIGURE 16 ) length of metasoma equal to combined length of head and mesosoma; metasomal carapace elongate, without sutures, only slightly widened apically; ventral metasomal opening close to posterior margin of metasomal carapace; metasoma of male with an apical opening.
