Cryptogonus bhalwalnensis Azad & Wang
Cryptogonus bhalwalnensis Azad & Wang, 2020: 147 View Cited Treatment .
Azad et al. (2020) described C. bhalwalnensis from the Punjab Province of Pakistan based on a single male. The elytral pattern of C. bhalwalnensis as illustrated by Azad et al. (2020) is very close to that of some variants of C. hainanensis Pang & Mao, 1979 (see Fig. 22a–c View FIGURE 22 ) and the male genitalia, particularly the penis, are also superficially quite similar though there are subtle differences in the penis guide. However, C. bhalwalnensis is stated to have two pairs of prosternal carinae as in C. orbiculus and appears to be different from C. hainanensis .
Distribution. Pakistan.
