Strepsicrates macropetana (Meyrick) View in CoL
Specimens examined. AUSTRALIA, South Australia: 2 (dried) Ambleside , 2km NE Verdun, 35°00.28’S 138°48.38’E, G.S. Taylor, 13.x.2001 GoogleMaps , from woody, axial leaf-bud gall on E. camaldulensis (em. in lab from 22.x.2001) ( WINC 040191) .
Notes on biology. Strepsicrates macropetana , the eucalypt leafroller, is recorded as tunnelling in live Fergusonina galls ( Taylor et al. 2005). It is here recorded from galls of F. nodulosa sp. nov., where the moth emerges from its pupal case extruded from a tunnel in fresh galls.
