Unionicola finisbelli Ramazzotti, 1947 — nov syn.

When comparing the description of U. finisbelli by Ramazzotti (1947) with U. inusitata , it appeared that U. inusitata has the same bifurcated setae on the female genital plates as U. finisbelli , but, until now they were never observed. Moreover, U. inusitata and U. finisbelli have exactly the same palps in shape and chaetotaxy. The same holds for the female and male genital plates as a whole. The inner margins of the male genital plates of U. finisbelli also have a curve directed to the midline. Unionicola finisbelli therefore is placed into synonymy under U. inusitata .
