Material examined. 1 specimen ( RBSC): Uganda, Buvuma Island, Vumba bay , iii.1968, E. Vertriest lgt. Remarks. This is a very unusual species by its glabrous, metallic blue body and short rostrum with wide vertex and epifrons. The species is here newly recorded for Uganda .
