Type. Holotype: male from Pantano de Martos , Vereda Montequiva, Guatavita , Cundinamarca, Colombia, 2840 m, 4.899516°N, 73.721125°W, 26.X.2014, K. Pulido ( ANDES –IN 3155). GoogleMaps

Etymology. The epithet is a noun in apposition taken from the type locality, the Guatavita Lake, capital of the Zipazgo, one of the most important politic and administrative divisions of the territory of the Muisca Confederation, and where the well-known legend of El Dorado originated.

Diagnosis. Males of A. guatavita sp. nov. can be distinguished from those of the remaining species in the genus by the presence of a dorsal tibial spur (DTS) in the palp, basal widening of the embolus, and a long and pointed finger-like RTA with a proximal widening ( Figs 5a–c View FIGURES 5 , 21a–c View FIGURES 21 ).

Description. Male (holotype). Total length: 2.65. Carapace yellow, 1.49 long, 1.01 wide, 0.73 high ( Fig. 17a View FIGURES 17 ). OC black 0.70 long. Anterior eye row 1.06 wide and posterior 0.94 wide. Sternum yellow, 0.59 long, 0.48 wide. Labium yellow, 0.12 long, 0.24 wide. Chelicerae yellow with three retromarginal and two promarginal teeth. Palp yellow with distal femur and patella covered by long white hairs, with long finger-like RTA with basal widening, embolus with basal widening (bwe), and a dorsal tibial spur (DTS) ( Figs 5a–c View FIGURES 5 , 21a–c View FIGURES 21 ). Legs 4312, all yellow, with a prolateral black marks in patellae I, and prolateral distal in femora I. Leg macrosetae: femur, I–II d 1 di, p 1 di; III d 2 di, p 1 di; IV d 2 di, v 1 di; patella, III–IV r 1 me; tibia, I v 2-2 -2; II 1-2 -1, p 1 di; III–IV v 1 -0-1, p 0-1-1, r 0-1- 1; metatarsus, I v 2-2; II v 2-2, p 1 di; III v 2 -0-1, p 1-0-2, r 1-0-2; IV v 1 -0-1, p 0-1-2, r 0-1-2. Abdomen yellow, with a reticulated brown pattern of coloration ( Fig. 17a View FIGURES 17 ).
