Type species. Selasia rhipiceroides Laporte, 1836: 20 .

Diagnosis. Within Drilini , Selasia differs from Malacogaster by flabellate antennae (serrate in all known Malacogaster spp.), and from Drilus by the slightly concave frontal margin of mesoventrite (V-shaped in Drilus ; Kundrata & Bocak 2007, Kundrata et al. 2014).
