Parish records (n = 130): Bossier, Concordia, East Baton Rouge, St. Tammany, Union, West Feliciana, and Winn Parishes (FSCA, LSAM, TAMU).
Potential larval hosts in Louisiana: Acer rubrum L., Acer saccharum , Betula nigra , Carya glabra , Carya illinoinensis , Carya laciniosa , Carya ovata , Cornus florida L., Fagus grandifolia , Fagus sylvatica L., Quercus laurifolia Michx. , and Q. velutina . Adults reported also on Cercis canadensis , Diospyros virginiana , and Quercus prinoides Willd.
Collection date range: 18 April–17 July, mostly in May (n = 91) and June (n = 31), two reared specimens emerged in June and July.
Comments: Collected at light, by hand, in canopy and ground-based Malaise and flight intercept traps, and reared from ‘hickory limbs’, also as C. fumipennis prey.
