Parish records (n = 385): Assumption, Avoyelles, East Baton Rouge, La Salle, St. Martin, and Tensas Parishes (LSAM).
Potential larval hosts in Louisiana: Gleditsia triacanthos and Zanthoxylum clava-herculis .
Collection date range: 4 April–23 August, mostly (n = 347) during May and June.
Comments: Collected at light, by hand on a sugar cane plant, ‘fogging cypress’, and using boll weevil pheromone and sticky traps; also as C. fumipennis prey.
