Basionym:— Thelypteris View in CoL × parahispidula Fraser-Jenk. (1997:263).
Type:— SRI LANKA, Central Province, Kandy District, Lady Horton’s walk, 600 m, Dec 1950, I . Manton P93 (43) , (holotype BM) .
Hybrid parentage:— Christella hispidula (Decne.) Holttum × Christella parasitica ( L.) H.Lév.
Distribution:— Sri Lanka (endemic).
Note:— Sledge (1981) described this taxon under a hybrid formula and later Fraser-Jenkins (1997) named it as Thelypteris × parahispidula Fraser-Jenk. This taxon is only known by its type. Though its parents are commonly distributed in forests in central highlands, it has not been recorded apart from its type collection.
