The pupal case of E. frewingi was described by Dennis & Lavigne (1976a). A specimen deposited in the United States National Museum is labeled “Laramie, WY; VIII–26–73; S. Dennis Collector.” The description should include the following: prothoracic spiracle slightly upraised; abdominal spiracles elongateoval to semioval, reddish brown, slightly upraised, situated along midline laterally.
