Description of Bosea lupini BT 41
Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, smooth, and yellow color after 4 days on R2A at 25°C. Positive for nitrate reduction, while negative for arginine dihydrolase, indole production, urease, glucose fermentation, β -galac- tosidase, and esculin hydrolysis in API 20NE. Utilizes potassium gluconate, malic acid, and trisodium citrate. Does not utilize D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, Dmaltose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, adipic acid, capric acid, and phenylacetic acid. Strain BT41 (= NIBR BAC000502350) has been isolated from soil, Samcheok, Korea.
