Hosts. Acanthoscelides sp. on Phaseolus spp. (Hansson & Aebi 2004); Acanthoscelides obtectus ( Say) ( DeSantis 1989) on Phaseolus lunatus L. ( Kenyon et al. 2015)*; Acanthoscelides obvelatus Bridwell on Phaseolus coccineus L. ( Kenyon et al. 2015)*; Bruchus sp. from seeds of Acacia sp. ( Burks 1971); Stator pruininus Horn on Acacia sp. and Olneya sp. ( Gahan 1930); Zabrotes subfasciatus (Boheman) on Phaseolus vulgaris L. ( Kenyon et al. 2015)*. Acanthoscelides obvelatus Bridwell on Phaseolus coccineus L. ( Kenyon et al. 2015)*.

Distribution. NEARCTIC: United States of America. NEOTROPICAL: Costa Rica *, Honduras ( Hansson 2009)*, Mexico.

Note. Bonet (2008) reported a species near H. depressus as a parasitoid of Acanthoscelides obtectus (Say) from seeds of Phaseolus vulgaris L. var. mexicanus ( Bonet 2008) , Acanthoscelides obvelatus Bridwell from seeds of Phaseolus vulgaris var. mexicanus Delgado , and Acanthocelides sp. from seeds of Phaseolus coccineus subsp. coccineus var. coccineus , but this identification needs confirmation.
