Diagnosis. Blind, more or less depigmented julids. Without protruding mandibular stipital lobes in males. Presence of vertigial and metazonal setae, while ozopores placed behind the suture. Anterior gonopods (promere) with a flagellum, the telopodite (= parabasal external lobe) and mesal lobe (= parabasal internal lobe). Posterior gonopods with a mainly freely articulated mesomere and well-developed opisthomere with a distinct velum. Intermediate lamella on the posterior gonopods often present, variously developed, with mesomere and opisthomere sometimes completely connected. Posterior gonopods without coxal structures.
