Emended diagnosis. Boniniidae with elongated body; poorly folded central pharynx; cerebral eyes present; frontomarginal eyes distributed in the anterior margin of the body; tentacular eyes absent; elongated marginal tentacles present; separated gonopores; male reproductive system armed with prostatoid organs, each armed with a sclerotized stylet; prostatoid organs arranged into one or more girdle each side of the penis papillae; the female reproductive system with an oval Lang’s vesicle and short vagina; sucker at the posterior end of the body.
