Ecology. Endogeic species occurring mostly on arable and grassland sites with low soil organic matter content (≤ 4%) ( Jänsch et al. 2013), preference for moist habitats ( Wilcke 1949, Graff 1954).
Zoogeographical distribution type. A peregrine species, native to the Palaearctic, but introduced into New Zealand, North- and South America ( Csuzdi & Zicsi 2003).
Distribution in Germany.
