Ecology. Endogeic species with preference for moist habitats, especially in river banks ( Graff 1954, 1958).
Zoogeographical distribution type. Central-European distribution: Great Britain, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, the former USSR ( Sims & Gerard 1999), Ireland, Denmark, Portugal, Spain, Slovenia ( Rota 2014: Fauna Europaea).
Distribution in Germany. Central Germany ( Eggert 1982; Höser 1990; Römbke 2006, 2009); northern Germany ( Michaelsen 1890; Graff 1954); southern Germany ( Graff 1958), eastern Germany ( Füller 1953).
