Kinemania ambulans (Erichson, 1842) View in CoL
( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 )
Species examined: Junior synonyms: Eremus incerta (Walker, 1869) , ‘holotype’ (NHMUK 13454799); Apotrechus insolitus (Walker, 1869) , type, female (NHMUK 13454797) and male (NHMUK 13454798).
Other specimens examined (images): male lectotype and female paralectotype, Orthoptera Species File Online.
The types of Apotrechus insolitus (Walker, 1869) from NHM are similar to Apotrechus by head distinctly wider than pronotum ( Fig. 2A View FIGURE 2 ); male ninth abdominal tergite with subacute apex in the middle ( Figs. 2C, 2D View FIGURE 2 ), and laterally produces into two stout lateral lobes ( Figs. 2C–E View FIGURE 2 ), and male subgenital plate swollen on dorsal surface ( Fig. 2F View FIGURE 2 ). The species Kinemania ambulans (Erichson, 1842) was first described as Gryllacris , before being transferred to Apotrechus by Brunner von Wattenwyl (1888). Rentz & John (1990) placed it in the new genus Kinemania Rentz, 1990 , as this species clearly differs from Apotrechus in its male copulatory structures. The stridulatory apparatus on abdominal tergite was observed as in Fig. 2G View FIGURE 2 . Female subgenital plate and ovipositor as shown in Figs. 2H and 2I View FIGURE 2 . Types of Eremus incerta (Walker, 1869) and A. insolitus ( Fig. 2J View FIGURE 2 ) were correctly identified in NHM as synonyms of K. ambulans (Erichson, 1842) , although these were not published or documented in Orthoptera Species File Online (Cigliano et al., 2018).
