Munididae

Munididae have been reported throughout the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. We used specimens found in both of these water bodies ( Fig. 7 ). Specimens of 25 of the 28 species of Munididae reported from the Gulf of Mexico were examined ( Table 3 ). Of these, 16 had sample sizes sufficient to warrant statistical analyses.
