Type (lectotype designated by Breuer & Metzing 1997: 7):—(photographic icon) “ Haworthia browniana v.P”. (B); later published in Von Poellnitz (1937c: 102).
Distribution: —It is only known from the type locality northwest of Uitenhage, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
