5. Lecithocera ideologa Meyrick, 1937 View in CoL
( Figs 6A–E View FIGURE 6 )
Lecithocera ideologa Meyrick, 1937: 96 View in CoL ; Janse 1954: 335; Mey 2007: 20; Park & De Prins 2019b: 72 View Cited Treatment ; Park et al. 2021: 359. Type locality: South Africa, eastern Cape; Type depository: holotype male in TMSA.
Lecithocera dicentropa Meyrick, 1938: 14 View in CoL , syn. nov. Type locality: DR Congo, North Kivu; Type depository: holotype male in RMCA.
Material examined. 3♁, “COLL. MUS. CONGO / [DR Congo] Elisabethville [now Lubumbashi , Prov. Haut-Katanga] / IV. V. 1952 [4 v 1952] / Ch. Seydel ” // “gen. slide nos. CIS-7295”, “-7296” & “-7299”, deposited in RMCA .
Adult ( Figs 6A, B View FIGURE 6 ): See also Park & De Prins (2019b, Fig. 3I View FIGURE 3 ).
Abdomen ( Fig. 6G View FIGURE 6 ): See also Park & De Prins (2019b, Fig. 3F View FIGURE 3 ).
Male genitalia ( Figs 6C–F View FIGURE 6 ): See also Park & De Prins (2019b, Figs 5D, E View FIGURE 5 ).
Distribution. Mozambique ( Janse 1954), Namibia ( Mey 2007), South Africa ( Meyrick 1937), Zimbabwe ( Janse 1954), DR Congo.
Remarks. Wingspan 12.0−15.0 mm. Male ( Figs 6A, B View FIGURE 6 ). Lecithocera dicentropa , which was described from DR Congo, is synonymized here with L. ideologa . From the result of the comparison between the male genitalia of the holotype of L. dicentropa (gen. slide no. CIS-7139/Park, illustrated by Park & De Prins (2019a), deposited in RMCA) with those of L. ideologa (Holotype no. 578, illustrated by Janse 1954, Pl. 141, Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 , deposited in TMSA), we concluded that they are conspecific. A small difference in the shape of the basal lobes of the uncus and the juxta are considered as infraspecific variations.
