Lecithocera dicentropa Meyrick, 1938: 14 , syn. nov. Type locality: DR Congo, North Kivu; Type depository: holotype male in RMCA.

Distribution. Mozambique ( Janse 1954), Namibia ( Mey 2007), South Africa ( Meyrick 1937), Zimbabwe ( Janse 1954), DR Congo.

Remarks. Wingspan 12.0−15.0 mm. Male ( Figs 6A, B ). Lecithocera dicentropa , which was described from DR Congo, is synonymized here with L. ideologa . From the result of the comparison between the male genitalia of the holotype of L. dicentropa (gen. slide no. CIS-7139/Park, illustrated by Park & De Prins (2019a), deposited in RMCA) with those of L. ideologa (Holotype no. 578, illustrated by Janse 1954, Pl. 141, Fig. 2 , deposited in TMSA), we concluded that they are conspecific. A small difference in the shape of the basal lobes of the uncus and the juxta are considered as infraspecific variations.
