Illustrations: Plate 1-C. Key to clerid genera, couplet 8; Chariessa key, couplet 1-B

Distribution: Known only from south Florida (Key Largo, Monroe County) ( Opitz 2017).

Natural History: Collected from poisonwood ( Metopium toxiferum ) and collected from a rotten log, but what prey were infesting these plants was not noted ( Opitz 2017).

Mimicry: A mimic of lampyrids and cantharids ( Mawdsley 1994).
