Distribution: Occurs primarily from KS to Guatemala, with eastern records from IN, PA and TN.

- Reported from: IN, KS, PA, TN, TX, Mexico and Guatemala ( Wolcott 1947; Papp 1960).

- New State Records: INDIANA: Tippecanoe Co., 4-VII-1965, 16-VII-1965, N. M. Downie ( FSCA, 2) . TENNESSEE: Cannon Co., Woodbury, 6/8/97, E. J. Ford ( FSCA, 1) .

- New Country Record: GUATEMALA: San Lorenzo , Zacapa Dpto., 1800m, 13-VII-1986, L. LeSage ( FSCA, 1) .

Natural History: Very little is known about the life history of this species. Rifkind (2015) reported beating this species from an unidentified flowering epiphyte on willow ( Salix ) in Oaxaca, Mexico.
