Material examined. St 12, 06/11/2009, 10h–12h30, La Prévoyante reef, 12°41'34.70"S, 45° 9'59.99"E, coll. KUW fieldwork, scuba diving 6–11 m, sediment suction pump, Acropora coral grounds, 3 ovigerous females (LC 2.2–3.4 mm, biggest one LT 24 mm), MNHN-Na 15995.

Colouration (fig. 13). Body transparent, with red oblique stripes on carapace, abdomen, eyestalks, legs and tailfan with red and white markings.

Distribution. Type locality Ternate, Java Sea, Ambon, Tahiti, Indonesia. Widespread in the Indo-West Pacific from Kenya and Madagascar to French Polynesia.

Remarks. The specimens agree with the previous descriptions and illustrations. The species was not previously recorded from Mayotte with certainty, although it was reported from Madagascar and wide ranged from Indo-West Pacific. Colouration of the species is reported here for the first time.
