Subfamily Rhynchophorinae Schoenherr
This is the most diverse group of New World Dryophthoridae . Four tribes and 16 genera (including one to be described in a forthcoming publication; Anderson, in press) are represented in Costa Rica and Panama. These are the New World Dryophthoridae with separated front coxae.
