This species was known from Brazil (AM, MG, RJ, SC), Peru, Paraguay and Argentina ( Drake and Hussey 1951; Drake and Plaumann 1955; Nieser and Melo 1997; Torres et al. 2007; Pereira and Melo 2007), and is here recorded for the first time from Espírito Santo State.
