Material examined. PHILIPPINES: 2 ♁♁: Leyte, Visca N Baybay. 22.02.1991. 200–500 m a.s.l., primary forest. W. Shawaller et al. leg. ( SMNS) .
Remarks. Phloeonomus tonkinensis was origianlly described from “ Tonkin: Hoa Binh ”. Steel (1960) redescribed it as Paraphloeostiba , and provided figures of the aedeagus, the female genital segment and the spermatheca. The species was known from Vietnam and Singapore ( Herman 2001).
