Head black, glossy, frons with fine, more-or-less diffuse punctation, vertex with slightly larger punctation and wrinkles; labrum and anterior part of clypeus yellow, smooth, glossy, posterior part of clypeus black, smooth, with punctation, palpi brown, tips yellowish to whitish. Antennae black, reaching beyond middle of pronotum, antennomeres dilated from A 5 onwards, from A 6 onwards as long as wide, tips slightly lighter, A 11 longer than A 10, narrow, inner side subparallel, outer ide very slightly curved, slightly constricted at tip. EyW: 0.53 – 0.62 mm; EyD: 0.94 – 1.16 mm; EyD / EyW: 1.85. Pronotum dark red-brown, glossy, apex narrowly black, base broader bordered black, broadest in or before middle, slightly sinuate, constricted towards apex and very slightly more constricted towards base; in front of the indication of the transverse depression with diffuse punctations, behind the transverse depression with dense and coarse wrinkles, the basal black part almost smooth. Head black, glossy, with fine, relatively dense and conspicuous punctation; labrum, palpi and anterior part of clypeus yellow (tips of maxillary palpi sometimes blackened). Antennae mostly not reaching base of pronotum (when laid back), light brown to brown, antennomeres dilated from A 4 onwards, from A 5 onwards wider than long, A 11 shorter than A 9 + A 10, basally slightly bulbous, slightly constricted towards tip. EyW: 0.30 – 0.48 mm; EyD: 0.62 – 0.91 mm; WyD / EyW: 2.03. Pronotum variable, slightly constricted in front, more constricted towards base, slightly sinuate before middle, black, sometimes with a reddish gleam, narrowly reddish in front and sometimes at base; almost smooth, with fine, relatively dense and conspicuous punctation, sometimes additionally wrinkled. Punctation in 10 rows towards the middle, then more irregular and very fine, apex almost smooth, punctation small, roundish to irregular, diameter conspicuously smaller than interstices, interstices with very fine and very small intermediate punctation; elytral punctation with a basal seta. EL: 4.6 – 6.58 mm; EW: 2.2 – 3.17 mm; EL / EW: 2.00. Legs dark brown to black brown, tips of femora, tibiae and tarsi lighter brown or yellowish (with tibial base darkened). Pronotum slightly constricted in front, more constricted towards base, slightly sinuate before middle, dark brown, apex and base more-or-less reddish; anterior transverse depression in holotype not conspicuous, in paratype more conspicuous, in both cases with diffuse, fine punctation. PL: 1.56 – 2.0 mm; PW: 1.02 – 1.42 mm; PL / PW: 1.54. Elytra brown, glossy, shoulders light brown, in the middle of elytra with an oblique, yellow-brown fascia, reaching from outer margin to suture; elytral base margined. Punctation in 10 rows, almost reaching the apex, punctation deep and conspicuous, in humeral part diameter of punctation smaller than interstices, towards the yellow-brown fascia with increasing diameter (interstices smaller than diameter of punctation), behind the fascia diameter of punctation conspicuously smaller than interstices; punctation more longitudinal, with a basal seta. EL: 2.48 – 3.86 mm; EW: 1.14 – 1.64 mm; EL / EW: 2.26. Legs light brown to brown. Lower surface. Head and prothorax red-brown to black brown, meso- and metaventrite brown to dark red-brown, abdomen light red-brown, intersegmental sclerites yellow. Gula light brown, U-shaped, with a broadly bulging margin, with slight transverse wrinkles, gular pads large, slightly adjoined. Prosternal length smaller than procoxal diameter. AMP rectangular to trapezoid, margins not conspicuously bulging, almost smooth. Mesoventrite in the middle with deep and coarse punctation, sides smooth. Metaventrite almost smooth. Genitalia. Head black, with dense, conspicuous punctation; labrum slightly and broadly emarginate or broadly rounded; clypeus with coarse punctation (diameter larger than punctation on head), not emarginate. Antennae more-or-less reaching base of pronotum (when laid back), antennomeres dilated from A 5 onwards, longer than wide, A 11 conspicuously shorter than A 9 + A 10, not bulbous, more-or-less narrow, only very slightly constricted towards tip. EyW: 0.16 – 0.38 mm; EyD: 0.52 – 1.06 mm; EyD / EyW: 2.78. Pronotum black, subparallel in front, conspicuously constricted towards base, slightly sinuate before middle; with dense, conspicuous, more-or-less deep punctation. PL: 1.04 – 2.36 mm; PW: 0.8 – 1.7 mm; PL / PW: 1.35. Elytra totally black or with an orange (yellow-brown) transverse fascia (sometimes double banded) or an orange fascia more-or-less triangularly extended towards base (but far away from scutellum) and narrowly along the suture towards apex, apex broadly orange. Elytral base margined, elytra subparallel, slightly to conspicuously dilated towards apex. Punctation in 10 rows, extending beyond the middle, diameter of punctation conspicuously smaller than interstices, becoming smaller behind the orange transverse fascia, disappearing at apex or becoming irregular; punctation with a basal seta; interstices with microsculpture. EL: 3.04 – 6.92 mm; EW: 1.36 – 3.21 mm; EL / EW: 2.19. Legs yellow-brown to red-brown (or dark brown), tibial base sometimes darkened. Lower surface. Head and thorax dark brown to black brown, abdomen yellow-brown to red-brown. Gula transversely wrinkled or smooth (in one case), gular pads large, separated or adjoined.
