03F4D80EFFBDA435FECA4CE8E41DFCB8.taxon	description	This name was listed only in some old publication [Schönherr, 1817; Laporte, Gory, 1841; Aurivillus, 1912]. Later nobody mentioned C. annulus, at least we didn’t find such mention anywhere. Examination of the type specimen (Figs 1 – 2) showed that Clytus annulus F., 1801 and Echinocerus floralis (Pallas, 1773) are conspecific and must by synonymized with the priority of the latter. The lectotype of Clytus annulus is designated here according to the articles 61.1 and 74.1 of ICZN [1999]: « Cap Bon. Spei. Paykull. Mus: S: [unclear symbol] T: L: Annulus F. ”, “ Lectotypus, Clytus annulus F., 1801, des. Kasatkin D., 2020 ”. At the time of study, the lectotype deposited in the Natural History Museum of Denmark, now it is deposited in the Zoological Museum of Kiel University (Germany). The type locality of C. annulus is Cape of Good Hope in South Africa, according to the original description and the label. We believe that this geographic label is wrong, because E. floralis is not distributed in Africa. Acknowledgements. The author cordially thanks Dr A. Solodovnikov (Denmark, Copenhagen) for the providing access to the museum collection, Dr M. Kuhlmann (Kiel, Germany) for the photograph of labels of the lectotype, and Dr M. Nabozhenko (Russia, Rostov-on-Don) for the text correction.	en	Kasatkin, D. G. (2020): A new synonym of Echinocerus floralis (Pallas, 1773) (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae: Clytini).
