            <p> Ophthalmoplax andina Guzmán, Bermúdez, Gómez-Cruz &amp; Vega, 2016: 95–101 , figs. 3–5A. [Not available] </p>
            <p> Type material.   HOLOTYPE: UN-DG-CR-021, carapace preserving dorsal surface, carapace length 8.5 mm, width 14.4 mm, late  Campanian shales of the Lodolitas de Aguacaliente Formation, Guadalupe Group, Colombia  . PARATYPE: UN- DG-CR-021, carapace preserving dorsal surface and base of long left lateral spine, length about 21.6 mm, width 42.1 mm, same locality as holotype. </p>
            <p>Diagnosis. Carapace small, wider than long, subquadrate; rostrum bifid; orbital spines sharp and short. Dorsal carapace surface mostly defined by sharp transverse ridges and grooves, deep grooves demarcating mesobranchial region; mesobranchial region with wide transverse ridges with fine tubercles on crests, connected to long, sharp lateral spine.</p>
            <p>Etymology. The name of the new species is related to the Andean region of Colombia; used as a noun in apposition.</p>
            <p> Remarks. A full description and figures of  Ophthalmoplax andina and stratigraphic account are given by Guzmán et al. (2016). </p>
