John (1956a) described Aphanocephalus pubescens sauteri based on 4 specimens housed in Senckenberg Deutsches Entomologisches Institut, while John (1971) described “ Aphanocephalus sauteri ” based on holotype and 4 paratypes housed in Museum für Naturkunde Berlin. The former taxon was described as a forma, but it should be treated as a subspecies (ICZN).

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/770EE124FFDC2940FF44FCA569D1FB83	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
