CC299D3BFFCD5B165ABDF9EFC740FCCA.taxon	etymology	Etymology. The specific epithet is a patronym in honor of the Argentinian writer Ernesto Sábato for his most famous work of 1948 entitled “ El Túnel ”, since individuals of this species were found inside a tunnel (Fig 5 A).	en	Rodríguez-Castro, Germán, Rodríguez, Esteban (2025): Two new species of cribellated spider for Colombia (Araneae: Macrobunidae Bonnet, 1957). CC299D3BFFCD5B165ABDF9EFC740FCCA.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis. The male can be differentiated from R. plagiatus (Simon, 1893) and R. procerulus (Simon, 1906) by the shape of the tegular apophysis, which is short and straight (Fig. 4 A – D), while in R. plagiatus it is longer and more sinuous (see Caporiacco 1955: fig. 2) and that of R. procerulus is also short but curved in a C shape (see Dupérré 2023: fig. 5 B). Females resemble R. quitensis (Simon, 1906) and R. fulvipes (Simon, 1906) by the lip of the epigynum, and are distinguished by the spermathecae, which are oval with a slight outward inclination (Fig. 4 E, F). While in R. quitensis the spermathecae are sinuous and without inclinations (see Dupérré 2023: fig. 6 C, D); in R. fulvipes the spermathecae are more sinuous and larger, with a slight inward inclination (see Dupérré 2023: fig. 2 F).	en	Rodríguez-Castro, Germán, Rodríguez, Esteban (2025): Two new species of cribellated spider for Colombia (Araneae: Macrobunidae Bonnet, 1957). Leg formula I – IV – II – III. Genitalia. (Figs 3 E – F, 4 E – F). Epigynum lip sclerotized and straight, with a vertically directed lateral fold. Spermathecae oval, narrower apically, slightly directed outwards. Natural history. Individuals of R. sabatoi sp. nov. were found in a large group of cobwebs that occupied the walls of a short tunnel (Fig. 5 A). These individuals construct a circular web that adheres to the wall surface, taking on the same color as the dust that adheres to it. This web consists of three equidistant exits forming a triangle (Fig. 5 B), possibly to capture prey in all directions. Inside the web, right in the center, the spider remains covered with a different fabric than the one that makes up the web, as confirmed by opening it (Fig. 5 D). Remains of potential prey were found in the vicinity of the web, mainly flying insects, such as Lepidoptera (moths and butterflies), a variety of Diptera (mosquitoes and flies) and Hymenoptera (ants, bees and wasps), and curiously, the presence of harvestmen, suggesting a possible varied diet.	en	Rodríguez-Castro, Germán, Rodríguez, Esteban (2025): Two new species of cribellated spider for Colombia (Araneae: Macrobunidae Bonnet, 1957). CC299D3BFFCA5B1A5ABDFC03C5CCF904.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis. The male can be distinguished from R. procerulus, R. plagiatus and R. sabatoi sp. nov. by the slender retrolateral apophysis of the tibia with its striking apical curvature and by the elongated, sclerotized median apophysis (Fig. 8 A-D). While R. procerulus, R. plagiatus and R. sabatoi sp. nov. have a thick retrolateral apophysis and a short median apophysis (see Dupérré 2023: fig. 5 B, C), (see Caporiacco 1995: fig. 2). Females are similar to R. fulvipes and R. rhombifer (Simon, 1906) but can be distinguished by the slightly excavated lip of the epigynum and the inward-directed spermathecae (Fig. 8 E, F). While R. fulvipes has a straight epigynum lip and parallel spermathecae (see Dupérré 2023: fig. 2 E, F) and R. rhombifer has vertically directed spermathecae (see Dupérré 2023: fig. 7 F).	en	Rodríguez-Castro, Germán, Rodríguez, Esteban (2025): Two new species of cribellated spider for Colombia (Araneae: Macrobunidae Bonnet, 1957).
