Majeorona bovilla Distant 1905b: 318 (Chapada, 2600 feet, Central Brazil).

Distribution. The species has been reported from Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, French Guiana, and Peru (Metcalf 1963a; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2011 a, 2013, 2014, 2020a).
