Diagnosis. FEMALE. Palp femoragenu without lateral notches. Palpalae l”G at least twice as long as dF. Body, including gnathosoma, 360–400 long. Setae h2 100–130 long. Vulva without long lateral folds. Genua I and II with 4 setae (v ” present). Apical segment of legs III with 5 setae, apical segment of legs IV with 4 setae.

Non-type material. Hosts and distribution. This species is known only from the type host, Erithacus rubecula (Muscicapidae) from Europe (Cherny & Sixl 1971; Fain et al. 1999; Bochkov & Literak 2008; see Table 1).
