Ecology. Shelf species, found at depths from 210 to 503 m (Peña Cantero & Vervoort 2004).

Distribution. Circum-Antarctic (Peña Cantero & Vervoort 2004). West Antarctica: north-east of Joinville Island, Antarctic Peninsula (Peña Cantero & Vervoort 2004). East Antarctica: at Pennell Bank, Victoria Land, the Ross Sea region (Peña Cantero & Vervoort 2004).
