Eupithecia aggregata Guenée, [1858], in Boisduval & Guenée, Histoire Naturelle des Insectes. Species Général des Lépidoptéres. 10 (2): 315. Holotype ♀ (coll. O. Staudinger in MNHU, examined), [Russia]: Altai, Ustkam(enogorsk) (synonymised in Mironov & Galsworthy, 2010).

Eupithecia antaggregata Inoue, 1977, Bulletin of the Faculty of Domestic Science, Otsuma Women's University 13: 321, fig. 39. Holotype ♂ (coll. H. Inoue in BMNH, examined), [Japan]: Hokkaido, Tokachi, Nukabira (synonymised in Mironov, 2003).

The synonymy between E. pernotata, E. aggregata and E. antaggregata was treated in detail in Mironov & Galsworthy (2010). This widespread species occurs from the Alps (south eastern France) in the west to Japan in the east. A separate population is found in southern Finland along the coast of the Finnish Gulf (subsp. enictata Pellmyr & Mikkola). This species was initially recorded as E. inculta and E. aggregata for the fauna of Mongolia by Vojnits (1975, 1977) on the basis of two males. The female genitalia of the holotype of E. aggregata were first illustrated in Inoue (1979). Mongolia (aimags): Bulgan, Tuv.
