Eupithecia ijimai Inoue, 1963, Tinea 6 (1/2): (33), text-fig. 5; pl. 7, figs 11, 12. Holotype ♂ (coll. H. Inoue in BMNH, examined), [Japan]: Hokkaido, Kushiro, Shibecha (treated as subsp. of E. thalictrata in Viidalepp & Mironov, 1988).

Eupithecia inveterata Vojnits, 1987, Articulata 3 (1): 37. [Replacement name for Eupithecia trita Vojnits] (synonymised in Mironov & Galsworthy, 2013).

Misidentification: Eupithecia indecora Vojnits, 1981 (1♀ paratype in ZFMK).

This is a widespread species ranging from the Alps in the west to the Pacific Islands: Kunashiri (Russia) and Hokkaido (Japan) in the east. It was recorded from the territory of Mongolia as E. trita Vojnits. Mongolia: Tuv aimag.
