Eupithecia subexiguata Vojnits, 1974, Acta zoologica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae 20 (1–2): 224, figs 4a–e. Holotype ♂ (ZFMK, now in TTM, examined), China: South Shensi, Tapaishan in Tsinling (synonymised in Mironov & Galsworthy, 2013).
This species is widely distributed in the Palaearctic from Ireland and the Pyrenees in the west through European Russia, western and southern Siberia, Mongolia and China to the Far East of Russia (Primorje) in the east. It was recorded for Mongolia by Vojnits (1975) under the name E. subexiguata Vojnits, which was described from the Chinese provinces of Shaanxi and Yunnan. Mongolia: Tuv aimag.
