Sphecodes pecosensis Cockerell, 1904

Comments: This species is similar to, and easily confused with S. ranunculi . It appears to be a principally western and northern species. In eastern North America, it has also been found in Michigan, Maine, and Ontario (M. Arduser, unpublished). Minnesota specimens fall under the subspecies S. pecosensis pecosensis .
