Comments: The status of C. dupla is slightly unresolved because the lectotype of a junior synonym was incorrectly treated as a neotype by Rehan and Sheffield (2011). This means there is currently no type for C. dupla as the original Say types are lost. A neotype may need to be designated to maintain stability of the species. Thomas Say lived at New Harmony, IN. Best practice would be to find or collect series of C. (Z.) from that area and see which species occur there, and then, if C. dupla occurred, to select a neotype from C. dupla as presently understood from that locality.
